Description

This is the third release by the Dominos, following Painter’s Mill and Marquee Club. This two-disc set contains two performances, Electric Factory and Winter Gardens. Derek and the Dominos performed many times during their short career, and many collector’s items have been released. This work couples the excellent sound quality of the Electric Factory with what is probably the earliest concert recording of Winter Gardens. Disc 1 records the performance in Philadelphia on October 16, 1970. It is surprising that “Motherless Children” was already performed at this time. This is a rare version with different lyrics from the later recording. Disc 2 is a recording of the Winter Gardens on August 14, 1970, from the short UK tour before the album was released. Although the sound quality is not so good, it is highly valuable and is one of the performances you should definitely collect. Disc One – 1. Ramblin’ On My Mind 2. Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad 3. Blues Power 4. Have You Ever Loved A Woman 5. Mean Old World 6. Motherless Children 7. Let It Rain Live At The Electric factory Philadelphia, U.S.A. 16 Oct. 1970 Disc Two – 1. Country Life 2. Anyday 3. Bottle Of Red Wine 4. I Don’t Know Why 5. Roll It Over 6. Blues Power 7. Have You Ever Loved A Woman 8. Bad Boy Live At The Winter Gardens Malvern, U.K. 14 Aug. 1970
