Description

This is the best quality title ever, from the audience master, of the only performance in Tampa where Duane Allman participated throughout the entire show, held on December 1, 1970. This Tampa performance, which was the final stage of the 1970 US tour, is known for Duane’s participation on the day being suppressed, and for the fact that he was only scheduled to participate in a few songs, but ended up playing all the songs to the end. This is also the only live take of “Layla” played by these five people, and it is one of the most popular live recordings of the Dominos in circulation. This precious recording is an updated version that has been digitally remastered from the master released in 2005 by EZ TORRENT, known as the low generation master, and it starts with “Layla” right after the member introduction. The quality of the recording allows you to clearly hear the two guitarists, and the band ensemble was also in sync during the tour that lasted several months. The second song, “Got To Get Better In A Little While,” is the golden pattern of this period. Clapton’s playing, which sparks from the subdued intro riff and spins out phrases one after another in a relaxed flow, is full of fulfillment, and his interaction with Duane is full of blues, especially in “Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad,” where the sad vocals are followed by a guitar solo that makes your soul weep. Five days later, on December 6th, Clapton’s last stage as Derek & The Dominos was a precious live performance toward the end, and it is a must-have for fans as it is the only full performance with Duane. DISC 1 : 1. INTRODUCTION 2. LAYLA 3. GOT TO GET BETTER IN A LITTLE WHILE 4. KEY TO THE HIGHWAY 5. WHY DOES LOVE GOT TO BE SO SAD DISC 2 : 1. BLUES POWER 2. HAVE YOU EVER LOVED A WOMAN 3.
