Description
Def Leppard’s “HYSTERIA Tour” produced a signature album that became a symbol of the band and swept the world. Two new masterpieces, offering a superb experience right in the middle of the action, have been released simultaneously! This is the first of two consecutive releases. It’s a superb audience recording of the “Stockholm performance on March 4, 1988.” Speaking of 1988, not only was the official video “LIVE: IN THE ROUND, IN YOUR FACE” preserved, but the wonderful Japan tour was also a memorable one. First, let’s take a bird’s-eye view of the band’s activities at the time and examine the position of this work. 1987 June 24th-28th: Netherlands (3 performances) (HYSTERIA released on August 3rd) August 27th-September 17th: UK (17 performances) ←*SHEFFIELD 1987 October 1st-December 31st: North America #1a (61 performances) 1988 January 2nd-February 19th: North America #1b (25 performances) ←*Official footage, etc. March 1st-April 22nd: Europe (37 performances) ←★Here★ May 17th-24th: Japan (5 performances) ←*YOKOHAMA 1988, etc. May 27th-October 27th: North America #2 (88 performances) A first-time live album unearthed from the collection of a much-talked-about master. This is the glorious “HYSTERIA” era. Roughly speaking, the tour consisted of two main parts: “North America #1” and “North America #2,” with nearly 90 performances, and tours of various European countries and Japan in between. While we have archived each leg with numerous masterpieces, this two-part series is an unprecedented “European” leg. The Stockholm performance in this work was the first three shows. This vacuum-packed recording is a new masterpiece from the collection of a much-talked-about recording artist. The recording artist in question is “KK.” A taper active in Scandinavia from the late ’80s to early ’90s, KK has recently been releasing a series of master recordings. While he gained attention with Michael Jackson’s “GOTHENBURG 1988,” KK’s work primarily focuses on hard rock/heavy metal, and his recently released “GOTHENBURG 1988” with Yngwie Malmsteen was also very well-received. This week’s two-part series is his latest work, the DEF LEPPARD edition. Experience the full “HYSTERIA Tour” just before their Japan tour with superb sound. The sound of this album is also superb. While the timbre isn’t what you’d mistake for a soundboard, the powerful core and vivid details are comparable to FM broadcasts. The rich hall resonance is also excellent. Analysis with headphones reveals a reasonable thickness, but it’s not muddy or cloudy, giving it an exquisite sheen. The more you listen, the less you notice the type of recording, and the vivid applause that rises between songs reminds you, “Oh, that was a guest recording, wasn’t it?” Such rich, superb sound depicts a full show that feels like enjoying the breeze of the prime of life. While it’s the latest release from “LIVE: IN THE ROUND, IN YOUR FACE,” it also includes plenty of repertoire not heard in the official video, which was an excerpt. Finally, let’s organize the set by comparing them. Hysteria (5 songs), Women, Hysteria, Gods of War, Animal, Pour Some Sugar On Me, and others (10 songs). Fiery Target: Stagefright, Rock! Rock! (Till You Drop), Too Late For Love, Die Hard The Hunter, Foolin’, Rock Of Ages, Photograph. Others: Bringin’ On The Heartbreak, Let It Go (★), Travelin’ Band Medley (★). Note: *★ indicates songs not featured in the official video, “LIVE: IN THE ROUND, IN YOUR FACE.” Def Leppard’s golden era, along with EUROPE, embodied the pinnacle of European melodic hard rock. This live album allows you to fully experience the rich sound of a Scandinavian concert at its peak. A new masterpiece that showcases the power of the much-talked-about “KK Collection.” This is a superb audience recording of the “Stockholm performance on March 4, 1988.” This is the first recording from the much talked about “KK Collection,” and the powerful core and vivid details are as good as FM broadcasts.
