Description
With Vivian Campbell’s lymphoma in remission, DEF LEPPARD is fully prepared for the tour in 2025. This latest video offers a superb experience of their latest stage performance. This work was filmed at the “Atlantic City performance on June 28, 2025.” It features a superb audience shot capturing the entire performance. Currently, they are on the circuit, titled “Summer Tour 2025,” without an album or concept. First, let’s take a bird’s-eye view of their current schedule to get a sense of their current situation. 2025: January 18th: Mexico performance (January 31st release of single “Stand By Me”); May 15th: Puerto Rico performance; May 17th: Appearance at Boardwalk Rock; June 19th – August 31st: North America (24 performances) ←★here★; September 7th: Appearance at Radio 2 in the Park; October 11th: Gary. This is the 2025 schedule announced to date. While they perform one-off shows in various countries, the “North American” leg is a comprehensive tour. The Atlantic City performance in this work was the fifth concert in the opening leg. This vacuum-packed version of the show offers a breathtaking view. From the start of the show, it appears to have been filmed from the front row of the second-floor stands, and from there, the viewer zooms in and out. Within three minutes, Joe Elliott’s entire body fills the screen, transforming into a close-up shot. Moreover, thanks to the latest equipment, the image quality is so high that it’s hard to believe it’s zoomed in. In an instant, the footage becomes so close that it feels like you’re in another dimension, making it difficult to understand the shooting position. And, with that bold zoom, it’s impressive how the band pursues the highlights. Judging from the footage below after the rain, it appears they used a tripod, and even without the aid of anti-shake technology, the sense of stability is excellent, and the composition with the target member centered in the center of the screen is also beautiful. Furthermore, the sound is also top-notch. While the tone wouldn’t be mistaken for a soundboard, the clear core reaches your ears, and the details are crystal clear. Such beautiful visuals depict the latest full show, marking the 45th anniversary of the album’s debut. Since their last visit to Japan two years ago is still fresh in our minds, let’s compare the set contents here. Fiery Target (5 songs): Rock! Rock! (Till You Drop) (★), Foolin’, Die Hard The Hunter (★), Rock Of Ages, Photograph Hysteria (6 songs): Rocket, Armageddon It, Animal, Love Bites, Hysteria, Pour Some Sugar On Me Others (7 songs): High & Dry: Let It Go (★), Bringin’ On The Heartbreak, Switch 625 Others: Let’s Get Rocked, Just Like ’73 (★), This Guitar, Two Steps Behind (★) Note: Songs marked with a “★” were not performed during their last visit to Japan (2023). …and so on. While this tour isn’t specifically billed as a 45th anniversary tour, they’ll be focusing on “PYROMANIA” and “HYSTERIA” as usual, but will also be covering more recent songs like “Just Like ’73” and “This Guitar.” In short, the quality is outstanding. That’s all there is to it. We’ve been reporting on the tours every year with excellent footage, but I can’t remember ever seeing footage that is this high level of beauty, ease of viewing, and enjoyment. This is a record that lets you fully experience the latest stage with such beautiful visuals. We’ve decided to release the finest footage of the latest tour. Filmed from the second floor stands, the intense zoom creates a powerful shot that makes you feel so close you lose track of distance. The camerawork, which also uses a tripod, is skillful, and the outstanding quality of this record will leave you blown away.
