Description
A complete reproduction tour of DEF LEPPARD’s “HYSTERIA” that filled the empty October of 2018 after LOUD PARK went bankrupt. The ultimate live album, which is the final part and the best masterpiece, is now available. This work includes the “October 29, 2018: Zepp Nagoya” performance. This is the best audience recording. The other day, we delivered the two consecutive works “BUDOKAN 2018” and “OSAKA 2018” which were the first news of coming to Japan and were decisive, so let’s first check the position of the show from the schedule. ・October 24th: Nippon Budokan “BUDOKAN 2018” ・October 26th: Zepp Namba “OSAKA 2018” ・October 29th: Zepp Nagoya [This work] A total of 3 performances. This work is the final Nagoya live album, and it is also the final part of the “HYSTERIA” complete reproduction trilogy. Moreover, it is not only the last, but also the quality is superb. It was recorded by the same modern master “Western Japan’s Strongest Taper” who recorded “OSAKA 2018”, and it is truly a sister work. Since “OSAKA 2018” had the best sound that stood out in the “strongest” collection, I thought it was a reliable sound even before listening to it. It even surpassed the intense “OSAKA 2018”! The sound is simply amazing. The guitar has a little bit of grease in your ear, the drums are so three-dimensional that you can see the structure of the kit, and the bass is also solid. “OSAKA 2018” didn’t make me feel the distance, but this work is even closer. That is the super cyclo sound that makes you feel like you are surrounded by members and standing in the middle. With the advancement of equipment, we have come to hear many soundboard-like audience recordings, but I don’t remember any recordings that evoked a feeling in the brain to this extent (the sound output itself seemed to be good at the Nagoya performance). Although it is a recording that feels like a sound board, there is definitely evidence of a guest record. It’s the audience’s breath. Although there are no close singing voices or screams, the chorus singing the chorus of each song and the cheers in response to Joe Elliott’s encouragement are very thick. The members also sing the chorus, but it’s so thick that it seems to swell several times over. Moreover, Joe’s vocals defy such a thick chorus and do not give up the leading role in the slightest. When you spell it out in words, you might imagine it sounds like an official live album, but it’s a little different. The performance sound and Joe’s singing voice are full of the feeling of being exposed like a sound board directly connected to the table, and the audience’s chorus and vast clapping are filled with a tremendous sense of reality. While the balance and quality are of official quality, only the rawness has been enhanced. In recent years, Nagoya has often become even more exciting than Osaka, and although this film is full of that excitement, there are no strange sounds from nearby. Very rarely, I come across a recording that I would like to call “audience beyond official,” but this work is exactly that. It’s just one song and one note, and it’s an impressive sound, but it’s irresistible because it depicts the super masterpiece “HYSTERIA”! Since it had been three days since the last performance in Osaka, they weren’t tired, and since it was their last day in Japan, they didn’t have to worry about the next day. The condition seems to have been carefully prepared, and you can feel the quality of the car. If the sound is miraculous, the liveliness of the audience is also strange, and the band’s performance is at its best in “HYSTERIA.” It is a live album with no faults at all. The main story alone is a special one, but what makes this work even more special is the encore. Basically, it takes over the Nippon Budokan/Osaka performance, but the highlight is the songs that change daily. So far we’ve had songs like “Let It Go” and “Action,” but on this day we’re taking requests from the audience. Joe chose the nostalgic “Wasted” among various song titles floating around! For this tour, we were soliciting requests for rare songs from a certain music magazine and official website, but what were the rankings? It was a selection like that, but on this day, I was able to meet the expectations of the audience (although it seems that the magazine request had nothing to do with it after all). A truly perfect masterpiece. It’s like a soundboard, but it’s a super-excellent sound that can only come from an audience. A pinnacle recording is one in which the sound has an impact that is more than just audio excellence, and this work is a sample of that. Since there are studio masterpieces and official reproduction live albums, it may be difficult for audience recordings to leave their name in history. However, the sound and music flowing from this work are comparable to even the official works. I don’t know at what venue the person reading this nonsense watched it, but even that doesn’t matter. As a live performance version of the historical masterpiece “HYSTERIA”, this is an extremely exquisite product that you cannot ask for as a real trial version.
