Description

For old fans who believe that Purple’s golden age was the 70s, this DVD contains rare live footage from the second and third periods of the band from 1970 to 1974! First, we start with a live performance from a TV studio in the UK in 1970, when they had just switched to a hard rock style after Ian Gillan joined the band. The performance is impressive, with the main focus on “IN ROCK” numbers and improvisations unique to that time. The following “Top Of The Pops” and the live performances in Paris and Olympia in the same year have a similar structure, and even though they were live performances in the studio, they performed a passionate performance in front of the audience. In particular, Richie’s playing and crazy performance, which can be said to be the sharpest during this period, are a must-see! The last video from 1974 after Coverdill joined the band, has slightly lower image and sound quality, but all the other footage has been officially released in the past, so it is truly official quality!!!! It is a professional version with a menu chapter and a recording time of 94 minutes.
