Description
The strongest 3-day real document in rock history! The legendary DEEP PURPLE’s first visit to Japan, realized in August 52 years ago. It was a major event that turned the history of Western music in Japan upside down and branded “Japanese Live” worldwide through “MADE IN JAPAN”. The legendary title that allows you to experience the scene with 100% real sound has been brushed up. It has been decided to release it on a permanent 6 CD set. Of course, what is engraved in this work is the “August 15th / 16th, 1972: Osaka Festival Hall” performance and the “August 17th: Nippon Budokan” performance. It is a 6-disc set with each full audience recording set by the highest peak master. In the past, we have introduced “Complete audience set of the first visit to Japan” several times. Among them, the standard changed greatly with “LIVE IN JAPAN COMPLETE: 50th Anniversary Edition (hereinafter, 50th Anniversary Edition)” released in the milestone year. This work is the definitive version that reprinted that new standard board after polishing it to even higher precision. Reproduce all three days with the best master The legendary first visit to Japan was a total of three performances. The complete audience recording set has been around for a long time, but what was groundbreaking about the “50th Anniversary Edition” was that “all performances were reconstructed with the best master”. After all, their first visit to Japan was a major event of the Honnoji level for the history of Japanese Western music. The live sound is just precious, and famous masters, different recordings, different systems, and different generations have been archived as much as possible. However, the deeper the research, the more confusion there is, “After all, which one was the best?” So the existing masters were re-washed and reassembled with the best masters of each day to create the “50th Anniversary Edition”. This work is based on such a “50th Anniversary Edition”. Of course, it has been re-examined, but the conclusion reached after half a century could not be overturned in just two years, and the same master was selected. Let’s confirm that conclusion here. August 15th: Osaka Festival Hall (first day) → “OSAKA 1972 1ST NIGHT” August 16th: Osaka Festival Hall (second day) → “LIVE IN JAPAN COMPLETE (before reconstruction)” August 17th: Nippon Budokan → “LOUDER THAN EVERYTHING ELSE” Brushed-up sound through re-examination In this way, the master selection for this work is the same as the previous “50th anniversary edition”, but it is not just a copy. All three performances were remastered by “GRAF ZEPPELIN”. In fact, “GRAF ZEPPELIN” was in charge of finishing the “50th anniversary edition”, and the original sound is the same. It is not reborn as a different class, but it is certainly the highest peak. The difference is particularly clear in the two days of Osaka “First day (August 15th: DISC 1-2)” and “Second day (August 16th: DISC 3-4)”. In the previous “50th Anniversary Edition,” the tape noise (high-frequency hiss) from the master remained strong, but this time it has been reduced. The depth of the silent parts has increased, and the contours and three-dimensionality of the performance sound have become even more vivid. Of course, this is just one easy-to-understand example. The pitch/phase correction is precise enough not to tolerate even 1/1000th of a second of deviation, and the various noise treatments and wow and flutter processing that were highly praised in the “50th Anniversary Edition” have been applied to this work as well. The “50th Anniversary Edition” was backed by half a century of verification and research. However, because it is the most important record in history, it should not be discontinued, and its height must continue to be pursued. This work is the crystallization of such a cultural heritage. It goes beyond the dimension of a unit excellent musical masterpiece and is an indispensable 6-disc set in the cultural history of Japan. A 6-disc set that contains the complete recording of the legendary first visit to Japan. The highest peak audience recording set of the performances “August 15th & 16th, 1972 Osaka Festival Hall / August 17th Nippon Budokan”. The definitive version that “GRAF ZEPPELIN” re-examined the best masters of each existing performance and polished it up. This is the highest peak version with even less tape noise than “LIVE IN JAPAN COMPLETE: 50th Anniversary Edition”. A slightly revised version of the previous version due to re-examination The differences are particularly clear in the two days in Osaka “First day (August 15th: DISC 1-2)” and “Second day (August 16th: DISC 3-4)”. In the previous “50th Anniversary Edition”, the tape noise (high-frequency hiss) derived from the master remained strong, but this time it has been reduced. The silences have become deeper, and the contours and three-dimensionality of the performance sounds are more vivid. Additional information: Notes from previous work Disc 1-2: Hiss adjustment with EQ, wow and flash correction, high frequency noise removal Disc 3-4: Pitch, phase, bandwidth, wow and flash correction Disc 5-6: Band adjustment with EQ, focusing on low frequency reinforcement This is currently the best AUD set in the world.
