Description

From the now-talked-about 80’s collection of famous recording artists, the first recording that has appeared for the first time in a while has appeared. This work includes “September 7, 1987 Verona Performance”. This is a superb audience recording that includes a moment of “THE HOUSE OF BLUE LIGHT TOUR”, which is valuable even for the reunion DEEP PURPLE. PURPLE from the 1980s felt like it had already been unearthed, but this work is a completely new sound source. Moreover, there have been no separate recordings so far, and it is a live album of the show that I listen to for the first time. Before we get into the shocking content, let’s talk about the show’s position. Let’s take a look at the last world tour in which Ritchie Blackmore and Ian Gillan fully participated. ●1987 [“THE HOUSE OF BLUE LIGHT” released on January 12th]・January 26th – March 8th: Europe #1 (28 performances)・April 15th – May 30th: North America #1 ( 28 performances) August 19th-September 7th: Europe #2 (12 performances) ←★Here★ ●1988《“NOBODY’S PERFECT” released in June》》July 31st: MONSTERS OF ROCK ITALY appearance・8 September 11th + 16th: North America #2 (2 performances) September 9th-29th: Europe #3 (14 performances) This is DEEP PURPLE in 1987/1988. This era is most famous for “NOBODY’S PERFECT”, and this work was released just before its release. It was the final performance of “Europe #2” which was also the last show of 1987. Also, speaking of “Europe #2” Italy, the excavation soundboard album “LOST MILAN TAPE” comes to mind, but this work was also a concert before those three performances. It’s surprising that it’s making its first appearance after more than 30 years, but the quality is also mind blowing. Anyway, it’s clear, beautiful, and wonderfully neat. In fact, it is not a close sound that can be mistaken for a sound board, and it honestly absorbs the enthusiasm of Italians. However, the sound is delicate and fresh, and each note jumps straight into your ears, with every detail clearly defined. Ritchie’s Strat has a melting tone and if it’s exquisite, even a small prank phrase will shine, and Ian Gillan’s shout has no stagnation or chatter, cutting through the space just like in the 70s. This feeling is a beautiful recording that is just reminiscent of Japan’s prestigious Kinney. There is a tape change cut after “Bad Attitude” and “Space Truckin’”, but it is also wonderful that the performance sound is not cut in any of them. Of course, it was not Kinney who was able to make this recording, but the currently popular recording artist “Biccio59”. Although it is a modern handle name, it is a taper that was active in Italy in the 1980s, and its original masters are currently being discovered one after another. Just about 10 years ago, the master of the historical master Dan Lumpinski was fired repeatedly, and the situation is similar to that. We introduced DIRE STRAITS’s “FERRARA 1983” as the first release, and it received great acclaim, and this work is one of those masterful collections. Such a master is currently a shock among enthusiasts around the world, but in this work it has been further refined with careful mastering. Of course, the truth of the precious recording will not be tainted by reckless gain of sound pressure, and the natural sound will remain as it is. However, we corrected the pitch, which was slightly out of order, and fine-tuned the treble while looking at the overall balance. Optimized for modern audio environments while remaining faithful to the on-site sound. Thanks to this, the outline of each instrument becomes even more vivid, and the ensemble also feels three-dimensional. Even without making any major changes, we were able to create a sound that maximizes the potential of the original sound. The show, depicted with beautiful sounds, is a masterpiece performed by the “Golden Five” who embody the ideals of HR. Although the set was similar to “LOST MILAN TAPE” after the 3rd performance, it was not the same, and “Woman From Tokyo” was also played. Of course, “THE HOUSE OF BLUE LIGHT” numbers such as “The Unwritten Law”, “Dead Or Alive” and “Bad Attitude” that could not be heard in “NOBODY’S PERFECT” will also be played. Actually, this group of new songs is really good. Overall, it is a full-throated performance that seems to be the last day of the tour, but “Dead Or Alive” where the momentum explodes is booming, and the heavy rhythm of “The Unwritten Law” is also sharp. Even more impressive is Gilan. Perhaps because of his good conditions, his high shouts were sharp and extended, and he screamed down as if to show off. Even though it’s the last day and I don’t have to worry about how I’ll do tomorrow, I’m extremely excited. Even in the introduction to the song “Bad Attitude,” he plays “Ba, ba, ba, ba, ba, ba, ba…” endlessly. That high-spirited tension is also transmitted to Richie and Jon Lord, and you can clearly see how the five people who are in top condition are stimulated by each other and cause magic. An amazing new recording unearthed from the collection of works by a master who can be described as “Italian Kinney” and “80’s Lampinski.” This is a live album that not only allows you to experience a full show that you have never heard before, but also impresses with its neat sound. This is a work that I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of great recordings will come out in the future. (Remaster Memo) ★Corrected a slightly higher pitch. ★Although the sound quality is high, the treble is unbalanced, so I adjusted it to make it easier to listen to.
