Description

Deep Purple has become a band with a history of 50 years since their debut. After disbanding in 1976, they reunited in 1984 and are one of the rare bands that has undergone repeated member changes and is still touring as an active band. There are many members who were once members of the band, and some former members have already become demons, which seems to be a testament to the band’s long history. Although there are some characters who appear only in the early days of the band, in general, Deep Purple was formed for the first time by five members, led by Jon Lord, Ritchie, and Ian Paice, who were the first members of the band. I’ll have to give my name. Then, in the second period, they welcomed Roger Glover on bass and Ian Gillan on vocals, becoming a new five-piece formation, and since then they have become the deep rock band that we know both musically and in the world. Isn’t it purple? Ritchie was following in the footsteps of his contemporaries Zeppelin, and wanted the band to be harder, producing “In Rock” and “Fireball.” Furthermore, they solidified their position with “Machine Head,” which includes “Smoke On The Water,” which is still one of their representative songs. 1974 marks the band’s third period. I wrote that the initial band consisted of Jon Lord, Ritchie, and Ian Paice, but Ian Gillan and Roger Glover were removed from the second group, and David Coverdale was on vocals. This third period is a five-piece formation with Glenn Hughes on bass. Also, except for after the reunion, for many Richie fans, this third period will be Deep Purple. This work is a high-quality recording of the first performance in Bremen, September 18, 1974, from all eight performances in Germany in September 1974 by Ritchie’s last third generation Purple. Not only was it famous as a sound source with excellent sound quality and balance, but surprisingly there are few titles that completely record the 1974 tour, so it has become an irreplaceable standard sound source for Purple mania. This work is recorded with almost the same sound quality as the master, except for adjusting the pitch to zero and softening the rough parts of the original source. I hope you will enjoy the wonderful performance of the third generation Purple. STADTHALLE BREMEN, GERMANY September 18, 1974 DISC ONE 01. Introduction 02. Burn 03. Might Just Take Your Life 04.
