It is surprising that it was excavated after 45 years, but the sound is also excellent, so it is a double surprise. Will it surpass the masterpiece “DRIVING ME WILD”? If you ask me, I’m lost, but there is no doubt that it will stand side by side. It boasts the reality that you can see an octagonal space when you close your eyes, but the core that penetrates the center is solid and conveys the details beautifully. And above all, freshness. It was digitized directly from the master handed over directly from the recorder himself, but it was a secret treasure that had been kept secret for many years. Perhaps the release of the official live album also had an influence, but it seems that it has never been traded before. Of course, it is the original without dubbing, and there is no sign of aging or deterioration, and the fresh sound that makes you think that it has never been played for 75 years!? It overflows. The complete recording of the audience in 1975 is valuable in itself. The complete sound board has already been officially released, and this is the second audience recording in our shop. [DISC 3: Pro shot film different from the official version] DISC 3, which follows such a full live album, is a multi-camera pro shot of the same show. Speaking of the pro shot of this day, it is also known as an official product such as the VHS release “RISES OVER JAPAN” and the DVD “PHOENIX RISING”, but this work is a different version from both of them. It is the original film version that was also used in film concerts. This version, which became very popular as “RISES OVER JAPAN: The Original Film Edition”, has been reprinted here. The content is still vivid. The image quality, which has not been digitally processed, is vivid even down to the grain of the film, and is full of historical mood. What’s more, it is different from the official version. The song order is different from the VHS version, which started with “Smoke On The Water”, but it is also different from the “PHOENIX RISING” version, in which the song order was corrected. In the official DVD, the familiar title screen with the rising sun flag motif immediately leads to a video of the venue, but in this work, credits such as “A TONY KLINGER FILM” and “Edited by Clive Smith” are lined up like a movie. Furthermore, even after the main live performance begins, the cuts are different and the audio is different. First of all, the cuts. It’s not completely different, but one cut is longer than the official one. The overall image is the same: “This work = base ← Official DVD = insert another cut”. An easy-to-understand thing is the keyboard solo in “Burn”. In this work, Glenn’s footage is almost the whole, but the official DVD inserts a close-up of John. In addition, Ian’s footage is mixed in for a moment along with the drum fill, emphasizing the multi-camera flavor (although the official version’s inserted footage does not show his hands, so it can be thought of as being diverted from other scenes…). What’s even more different is the sound. This is completely different. Not just at the tone level, but the mix is ​​completely different and this work is more vivid. Another interesting thing is that some of Coverdale’s shouts that matched the performance are missing. Was the vocal track removed in the temporary mix, or did the official version bring in unrelated shouts from elsewhere? What’s even more different is the intervals between songs. Since it’s an excerpt of only five songs, they’re connected by editing, but the way they’re connected is completely different, and the MC and the length are completely different.
