David Gilmour/Italy 2024 Complete IEM Matrix Edition

The tour accompanying the release of the 2024 album “Luck and Strange” has attracted attention for its style of being held at the same venue in four locations, Rome, London, and two locations in North America. The second performance of the tour, held in Rome, Italy on September 28th, was fully recorded with a multi-stereo IEM matrix. First, the three different stereo IEM sources used by the members on stage were mixed with the digital audience source in an exquisite balance to create a multi-IEM matrix, and the direct and sharply defined hybrid sound unique to stereo line sound sources was reproduced at the soundboard level. Then, the solos from “Flying” and “Encounter” and Floyd numbers were exactly half and half, with a well-balanced composition, and by the way, a total of seven songs from “Encounter” were performed, including the title number. And not only the standard Floyd numbers, but also “Breathe (In The Air)” and “A Great Day For Freedom” are selected for the first time in a long time, and “Marooned” from “Tai” is a rare number that Floyd has hardly ever played. Incidentally, it is surprising that four songs from “Tai” are included in the set. There was a slight change in the set from the end of the tour, and in addition, Gilmore’s daughter Romany Gilmore, who is participating as a tour member, also performed vocals and harp on “Vita Brevis” and “Between Two Points”, so unlike the previous tense solo tours, it is a must-listen item for fans to enjoy the homely side.
