Description
This full 1 hour and 58 minute recording captures the June 20th San Diego performance from his first solo North American tour, “ABOUT FACE,” in 1984, from the original audience master by Marco Mohr, a legendary California taper active from the mid-’80s to early ’90s, roughly the same time as Mike Millard. Recorded from an original master owned by the legendary California taper, Mohr, who was active from the mid-’80s to early ’90s, around the same time as Mike Millard, these precious live recordings have never been traded before. Recently, a renowned collector has uncovered these precious live recordings, resurrected from high-quality tape recordings. The quality is almost on par with the Millard tapes, and this release recreates the rare solo tour with a sound that is hard to believe was an outdoor live performance. In addition to playing nine songs from the album, almost the entire album, he also plays two songs from his first solo album, as well as Floyd numbers “Money,” “Run Like Hell,” and “Comfortably Numb.” Fans should definitely check out the set list, which is typical of a solo artist, and the addition of Mick Ralphs on side guitar.
