Description
This work was filmed at the Phoenix Festival performance on July 18, 1996. This is the multi-camera pro shot. This video is famous for being broadcast in Japan, and there are many previous episodes, but this work is different from that. This is the version that was broadcast on ITV, the largest and oldest commercial broadcasting station in the UK, and is currently known as the best master. The quality is truly exquisite. It seems to be an air check master of period analog recording, but the image in front of you is hard to believe. The vivid colors are extremely vivid, and the freshness of the master is overwhelming. There was no color bleeding or any running noise, and I wondered, “Was it officially released on laser disc?” By the standards of the time, it was completely official grade…or should I say, it’s a top quality item even by modern standards. However, the drawback of this “ITV” version is that it is rather short. The Japanese broadcast was about 30 minutes long, but the “ITV” version has one less song, in fact only five songs. Therefore, this work includes a bonus song “Moonage Daydream” from Japan Broadcasting System. Although the image quality is slightly lower, we have made it possible to enjoy all 6 existing songs. What is depicted in this work is the scene of “OUTSIDE TOUR”, which had a unique shine in Bowie history. Although he was more sophisticated than at the beginning of the tour, Bowie was known for his bizarre and bizarre hobbies, and was different from any other era. Bowie, with his short yellow hair, roars powerfully and sings listlessly while riding Reeves Gabrels’ strangely decadent guitar. Its appearance is both mysterious and frighteningly cool. The world of “1.OUTSIDE” was originally planned to be a five-part series. Although that world has ended unfinished, the true value of that mysterious worldview can only be demonstrated through video. Although it is a professional shot of about 30 minutes, it is a superb video work that elevates the highest peak live album of “OUTSIDE TOUR” by several steps.
