Description

The legendary first visit to Japan during the “ZIGGY STARDUST” era. The best version of that number one recording is back in stock. This work contains the performance at the “Tokyo Welfare Pension Hall on April 10, 1973”. It was the legendary recording that first appeared as “THE ZIGGY STARDUST JAPAN TOUR” and shocked enthusiasts around the world. It is one of the best albums that has been re-digitized and remastered with modern technology. After all, the first visit to Japan in 1973 is a legend among legends. Our store has archived many masterpiece live albums. First of all, let’s organize the collection by tour schedule.・April 8: Tokyo Welfare Pension Hall・April 10: Tokyo Welfare Pension Hall [This work]・April 11: Tokyo Welfare Pension Hall・April 12: Nagoya City Public Hall “NAGOYA 1973” CDR・April 14: Hiroshima Postal Savings Hall “HIROSHIMA 1973″・April 16: Kobe International Hall・April 17: Osaka Welfare Pension Hall “OSAKA 1973” CDR・April 18: Shibuya Public Hall・April 20: Shibuya Public Hall “TOKYO 1973 FINAL NIGHT” All 9 performances. All of them are masterpieces and famous recordings, but this work is exceptional. It directly used the original master that was recorded by the record company staff at that time, and when it first appeared, it was thought that “there was no recording at all” at the appearance of “Tokyo Day 2”, which excited maniacs all over the world, and it sold out in an instant. Moreover, this recording was not just a first. The sound was so amazing, the best of all the first visits to Japan. The quality was so outstanding that it was far superior to the others… No, the world was surprised because it was the best sound not only in Japan but also in the entire “ZIGGY STARDUST TOUR 1982-1973”. This work was re-digitized from the original master and carefully mastered. No matter how “first visit to Japan number one” the original Masterport version was, it was recorded in 1973. Although it was high quality, it needed to be said “for that time”. However, this time the balance was adjusted, which was leaning towards the mid-high range, and the bass, which was a little loud in places, was also adjusted. Of course, we did not force the compressor to make it more powerful, but rather, with the theme of “each musical note sounds beautiful”, we tried to accurately convey the natural sound of the time and the texture that the master had absorbed on site. The sound that was revived in this way is a high-quality sound that does not need the phrase “for that time”. Of course, it’s not “like the latest digital recording”. There is plenty of rich and warm vintage atmosphere, yet the crisp freshness is beautiful. Not “for the time”, but “because it was at that time”. The reality that only 1973 can be smelled. It is a pity that the last encore “Rock ‘n’ Roll Suicide” is not included. Since it did not exist in the original master, it was not recorded. Although the quality and content are almost perfect recordings, it is hard to remember the feeling of disappointment at the very end. Therefore, we have included a bonus recording of “Rock ‘n’ Roll Suicide” from the performance of “Shibuya Public Hall on April 20, 1973” on the final day of the 1973 Japan tour. Although it does not reach the main “April 10”, this also has a great sound. Of course, like the main part, it has been mastered to make the most of the natural feeling, and you can fully enjoy the show-end with minimal discomfort. The brilliance of the “ZIGGY STARDUST” era, which erupts with such a beautiful and rich sound, is wonderful. Mick Ronson’s guitar depicts the world of Ziggy, and Trevor Boulder dances between the beats that Mick Woodmansey pounds out. Each and every note can be heard beautifully…or rather, it is vividly depicted without even having to consciously listen to it. And Bowie, who is singing in Japan for the first time, is also in top form. He has long loved Japanese culture, but that excitement is not the only thing. This Japan tour was in the latter half of the “ZIGGY STARDUST TOUR 1982-1973”, and was scheduled just before the final triumphant return to his home country, with a generous break of about one month from the North American tour. Therefore, the ensemble was fully ripe and in perfect condition. Ziggy will be sealed in London on the final day, but it is full of a moment of fulfillment just before reaching the feeling of “having done it”. “ZIGGY STARDUST TOUR 1982-1973” shines brilliantly in rock history. That dazzling world was realized in Japan. And it was left with the best sound. This is a record that makes such a miracle shine to the fullest.
