Description

The North American leg of the “ISOLAR II 1978 TOUR” that gave birth to “STAGE”. A new master who conveys the scene has been discovered. This work includes “April 2, 1978 Fresno Performance”. This is the best audience recording. We have archived many live albums at our store only during the popular Berlin era, but this work is the first appearance. It’s not an upgrade to a previous release, or even a separate recording. At the end of last year, a recording of the Fresno performance, which had been completely unknown until now, suddenly appeared on the internet. This is a new recording that is shaking collectors all over the world at this very moment. Before we look at the quality, first of all, the position of the show. Check out our regular tour schedule.・March 29th – May 9th: North America (31 performances) ←★Here★ ・May 14th – July 1st: Europe (34 performances)《September “STAGE” released / “LODGER” production started》・November 11th-December 2nd: Oceania (9 performances) ・December 6th-12th: Japan (5 performances) This is the overall picture of “ISOLAR II WORLD TOUR”. Speaking of this tour, the traditional official record “STAGE” comes to mind, but the Fresno performance of this work is also the same “North American” leg. This was the third concert of the series. “STAGE” was produced from four performances from the end of April to the beginning of May, so this work will be released about one month before that. Strictly speaking, the new recording that recorded such a show was partially released. Actually, it’s a film. We are introducing vintage footage of Fresno in the 70s in a series, and this is the audio used in the Bowie edition “FRESNO 1978: THE VIDEO”. Although this Fresno video series is known for its superb sound, in most cases the recording itself is known, and the bands that appear one after another are all the best. People are surprised and wonder, “Were those superb recordings made with the same taper!” However, the Bowie version was a slightly different story. Until now, no recording has been discovered from the 1978 Fresno performance, and the sound overlaid on the video caused an uproar among overseas collectors who wondered, “What on earth is this recording?” I don’t know if it lived up to its reputation, but a few months later, a full-length version of the mysterious recording was released…that’s what this work is. In fact, the sound is far more shocking than the visuals. If you have experienced the video version “FRESNO 1978: THE VIDEO”, you will know that it is the best, but that sound continues endlessly for about 102 minutes of almost a full show. The best thing about it is its clear core and glossy, beautiful sound. Since the sound of the snare is imprinted with the audience-like tone, it cannot be mistaken for a sound board, but the clear atmosphere does not hide any details, and the vividness that reaches straight is like a laser beam. The slight nuances of the guitar’s cutting are clear, and the keyboard is neatly separated no matter how thickly they overlap. Even more surprising is the base. The volume itself is modest, but if you listen closely, you can clearly see the pulsating feel of the attack sound, and the continuous undulating lines are clearly outlined. Of course, when it comes to the main character Bowie’s singing voice, you can clearly understand not only one word of the lyrics but also the nuance of one syllable. According to one theory, it is said that it was dubbed directly to DAT from the original master (this is a story about works by other artists in the same series, so it is unclear whether it is the entire series), but I think that theory is true. It is a recording of unparalleled beauty. What’s more, the balance of cheers is amazing, so it’s amazing. I’m grateful that it’s quiet during the performance, but the applause that erupts between songs is also detailed and wide. There is no close-up singing, and you can ideally enjoy both the vivid performance and the exciting venue spectacle. In addition, this work is also the highest peak album that has been refined by meticulous mastering of such newly discovered masters. Of course, we do not try to taint the original beautiful sound by gaining sound pressure. In fact, it’s the opposite. In fact, although the original sound of the net was clear, there was a slight boost in the bass, and as a result, there was a slight chatter or muddiness at the peak. This product is a treatment that eliminates the cloudy feeling and makes the peaks that were actually scary less noticeable. The overall balance was also balanced with the mids and highs. This not only increases the luster of the entire ensemble, but also allows you to enjoy the total luster throughout the entire piece. What is depicted with such beautiful sound is a passionate performance of “ISOLAR II 1978 TOUR” that no one has ever heard before. In fact, since this show is the first of its kind, I cannot claim that it is a full recording (“Rebel Rebel” is missing!?), but you can still enjoy it for 1 hour, 42 minutes, and 17 seconds. This work is also the same North American leg as “STAGE”, so let’s organize the set while comparing. Glam era (8 songs) Ziggy Stardust: Five Years/Soul Love/Star/Hang On to Yourself/Ziggy Stardust/Suffragette City/Rock ‘n’ Roll Suicide (★) Aladdin Sane: The Jean Genie American era ( 4 songs)・Young Americans: Fame・Station to Station: Station to Station/Stay/TVC 15 Berlin Era (10 songs)・Low: Warszawa/What in the World/Be My Wife/Speed Of Life/ Breaking Glass/Art Decade/Eiyu Yumikatari: “Heroes”/Blackout/Sense of Doubt/Beauty and the Beast *Note: Songs marked with “★” cannot be heard on the official version “STAGE”. …and it looks like this. It roughly follows “SATGE (2CD edition)”, but it is not exactly the same. Not only can you hear “Be My Wife,” “The Jean Genie,” “Suffragette City,” and “Stay,” which weren’t on the original LP, but you’ll also get to hear “Rock ‘n’ Roll Suicide,” which you can’t hear on the 2017 longest edition. It is. Until now, we have archived “ISOLAR II 1978 TOUR” with many masterpiece recordings, but this work is the first appearance and has become the most likely candidate for the highest peak race. I had no idea that such a beautiful recording had never been known until now… It’s a great live album, and a masterpiece that makes you realize the depth of audience recording.
