Description
From the 1976 “Station to Station” Euro Tour, the performance in Brussels, Belgium on May 11th was recorded almost completely directly from the master tape owned by Taper, which has recently appeared. It is of excellent quality as an audience recording from that time, and is a valuable first excavation sound source that has hardly been distributed until now. And as “The Thin White Duke”, the live performance of this period, when they have further evolved and entered a new field, features a band sound with innovative arrangements and an ironclad ensemble. And from the cool opening, the groove gradually increases, and the hard excitement of “Stay” to “Waiting For The Man”, “Five Years” in medley form from “Life On Mars?”, and “Panic In Detroit” featuring Dennis Davis’ drum solo are the highlights of the middle part. Tony Kaye, a former member of Yes, is also a great keyboardist, adding flavor to “Waiting For The Man,” the beautiful mellow arrangement of “Changes,” and the piano playing that leads the whole album “Diamond Dogs.” A rare collector’s edition that fans must listen to.
