Description
Complete recording of the Boston performance on December 4th from the 1976 North American tour held in conjunction with “Certified Live” with the highest level of ultra-high quality audience recording for 1 hour and 26 minutes. The recording person is that Dan Lampinski, and it is recorded with ultra-high sound quality comparable to line recording, which will rank particularly high among the collection. I don’t think a detailed explanation of the sound quality is necessary for this top-of-the-line version of Lampinski’s recording, but this take is incredibly close in sound, and its wide feel and sound spread is impressive. It is at an extraordinary level, and the quality is such that there is no problem even if it is released as an “official bootleg” as it is. Not only is this a reproduction of one of the best live albums, “Certified Live,” but it is filled with an overwhelming sonic charm that is no longer an exaggeration and can be considered “a must-listen for all Western music fans.” All the musical sounds are well-balanced and recorded with a very active sound, and even though it is an audience recording, there is no lack of taste. The best ensembles, full of precision and natural depth and groove, which were created on live tours, may be able to more realistically demonstrate their charm with these highest quality audience recordings. It’s a sound quality that I’ve never heard before, and I’m sure you’ll be once again impressed by Dan Lampinski’s great work and advanced technique. Unlike “Certified Live,” which was recorded in a different order of the actual songs, the strength of this album is that you can listen to it all at once with its realistic texture and concert flow. Lampinski’s master had the last two songs running out of battery, so the tape speed was so fast that you couldn’t hear it, but on this disc, all of these have been adjusted accurately, and that’s why it was released. Although it is recorded nearly 7 minutes longer than the take, with the release of this edition, you can enjoy the entire live performance with the correct content and pitch for the first time in a 2-disc set. Now that the performance in Japan is imminent, it can be said to be the perfect piece to enjoy Dave Mason’s peak live performance. Introducing a must-have disc that will amaze anyone with its sound.
