Damned/CA,USA 1982

The original Damned, who reunited in the 2000s and once again showed their presence in the punk/new wave scene, recorded their live performance in San Francisco and Berkeley on March 6th from their 1982 US tour, which was the latter half of their career, using soundboard recordings from FM on-air master. Although it is not complete as it was cut in the middle of “Love Song” because it was a broadcast recording, it is rare as live recordings from this period, just before Captain Sensible left the band, are rarely available. The set mainly consisted of songs from the 5th album “STRAWBERRIES” that had just been released at the time, including songs from the Stiff era, and reproduced here a spectacular performance that was full-throttle, almost non-stop. In 2016, the documentary film “Damned Guys” was released, and they are attracting attention again, so this is a must-listen item for all fans who first encountered the Damned through the film and die-hard fans alike. 01.
