Description
This unreleased live recording was recorded at the Montreux Jazz Festival on June 23, 1972, and has been digitally remastered to the FM on-air master in official quality. The two top horns of Chuck and Gary are supported by Steve Gadd and Tony Levin in their youth. Levin was originally a schoolmate of Gadd, and this is a valuable recording from long before he became part of the Crimson gang. Gadd’s well-established bottom drumming is also well established, and this album is worth a listen for jazz and progressive rock fans who enjoy the light performances, including the standard “St. Thomas.” Montreux Jazz Festival 1972 : at Casino, Montreux, Switzerland 23rd June 1972 ST.
