Chris Potter Quartet and Trio Chris Potter/Live Collection 2002-2003

Currently (2024), the third installment of the must-have live collection series by Chris Potter, who is well-known as one of the best saxophone players, is here. Contains soundboard recordings from 2002 to 2003. Discs 1 to 3 are a quartet with Kevin Hayes and Scott Colley, as in the previous year’s live performance, and the drummer has changed from Brian Blade to Bill Stewart. Disc 4 is a trio style without Kevin Hayes. The set lists are mainly from the albums “Traveling Mercies” and “Lift: Live at the Village Vanguard” released during this period, but it is nice that the set lists do not overlap much between each live performance. Although there are some parts where noise occurs during broadcasting, the basics are official quality high quality soundboards, and are definitely a must-have collection for fans.
