Chris Potter, one of the pinnacles of contemporary jazz saxophonism, teamed up with the cutting-edge avant-garde pianist Craig Taborn for a 58-minute live performance in Cologne, Germany on March 31, 2025. This official, high-quality soundboard recording from the radio on-air master captures the live performance. As a tenor-piano duo, Potter includes some improvisational sections, but his interaction with Taborn is dominated by the tension and mystery so characteristic of ECM.
