From their 2014 European tour, where they were impressed by the supreme acoustic melodies of the legendary group Return to Forever during their golden era, they performed live at Marciac Jazz in France in July. It is recorded in true official quality sound quality. As the title suggests, the tour titled “The Songs of Return to Forever” featured all of RTF’s songs arranged in acoustic style, and was renovated as a new aesthetic jazz, which received rave reviews in Europe. By the way, there was a performance in Japan the previous year in 2013. Well, the first song is the famous song “Sometime Ago / La Festa” and “After the Cosmic Rain” from the album “Return to Forever” released in 1972 under the name Chick. His masterful arrangement and improvisational play are truly amazing. “Yellow Nimbus”, which was dedicated to his close friend Paco de Lucía who passed away in February of the same year, is played with a beautiful piano solo by Chick alone. What is even more surprising is the sound quality, which is good enough to be sold as is at a CD store in the city once the sleeve is attached. It even captures the sound of Stanley Clarke’s foot rhythm. The sound quality of this tour D∨D “San Sebastian 2014” sold at our store is also good, but the quality of the original sound source gives me goosebumps.
