Description
In August 2004, a fan-coveted item has appeared that records the trio’s stage performance held at the historic Copley Symphony Hall in San Diego, California with the highest level sound board sound source. On bass is the talented John Benitez from Puerto Rico. The trio consists of drummer Tom Brecklein, who made his debut on Chick’s album and has expanded his range of activities by participating in albums by DiMeola and Robben Ford. Speaking of Chic in 2004, it is famous that the electric band resumed its activities with the original members, but there was also a live performance with the wonderful trio that we will introduce this time. In 2003, there was a tour limited to Europe with a trio of different members, but the live performances from the North American tour remained unreleased. The first song is the standard masterpiece “It Could Happen to You,” which is popular among fans, and you will fall in love with the swinging feel that starts with the piano-only intro. The second song is a trio version of “Eternal Child”, which is famous for being played by electric bands, and this is also a rare sound source that can only be heard on this album. The second half includes Evans’ famous “But Beautiful”, and the last song includes the famous song “Rumba Flamenco”, making it a masterpiece that not only Chic maniacs but all piano fans should listen to.
