Chick Corea, Michael Brecker/Israel 1981 New Broadcast Master

This title is a remastered recording of a live performance by Chick Corea & Friends based on the sound source broadcast in 2021. There is a bit of hiss/noise, but it’s a nice soundboard. The style is such that Chic himself acts as a host and introduces his friends who perform as guests for each song, and the “friends” are also gorgeous. Michael Brecker, whose name was almost always included in the horn section of soul and funk albums at the time, and Chick’s ally Gary Burton, who often performs live together as a duo. And Steve Swallow, the backbone of ECM. Mike Garson is surprisingly familiar to rock fans from David Bowie’s band, but he actually comes from the jazz field and is a jazz pianist who loves tics. Gail Moran, Chick Corea’s wife, has a beautiful voice on vocals. Chick Corea sadly passed away this year (2021). Please enjoy this precious sound source with the image of Chick in your heart.
