Description
This CD contains precious live recordings and footage from the early days of The Cars, who debuted in 1978 and took the world by storm as the new wave jockeys. The CD contains a live performance at the Palladium in New York on September 22, 1978, three months after their shocking debut, directly from the original radio show disc of the radio show “KING BISCUIT FLOWER HOUR”. This is perfect official quality, with a stereo soundboard, and although it is a live recording of just under 40 minutes to fit the broadcast time slot, it includes songs from the debut album and the second album “CANDY-O”, which was not yet released at the time. In particular, six of the nine songs from the debut album are performed, and Ric Ocasek’s live voice sounds fresh now, so be sure to check it out. In addition, the coupling DVD compiles professional shot live performances from their debut to “SHAKE IT UP” in 1982. Starting with the TV program “MIDNIGHT SPECIAL” on September 17th, 1979, “ROCK GOES TO COLLEGE” on January 13th of the same year, two songs from the “PANORAMA” period on September 19th, 1980, and three songs from the “SHAKE IT UP” period on January 8th, 1982, the entire album is a must-see, totaling 81 minutes, featuring live performances from TV shows.
