Description

In 1987, after releasing an album with a sex set of six members, the band went on a European tour and recorded a live performance at the Shaw Theatre in London with unblemished broadcast sound sources. The members were Carla Bley, who played the Hammond organ, Larry Willis, Hiram Bullock, Victor Lewis, Don Alias, and Steve Swallow. The live performance as a whole is a bossa-style performance that you can listen to carefully, and the sensual jazz created by the cool and lustrous Carla’s organ and the refreshing sound of Hiram Bullock’s Stratocaster penetrates your heart. In addition, the masterpiece “The Girl Who Cried Champagne” is performed as a trilogy suite. The ensemble, which is different from the album and is centered around Carla, is largely due to the skills of the craftsmen of the members.
