Description

This is a live studio recording of the Cannonball Adderley Quintet. While the recording lacks the immersive feel of a live performance due to the lack of an audience, it’s still a fantastic live recording. The harmonious lead work of brothers Nat and Julian “Cannonball” Adderley, along with the aggressive playing of Weather Report founder Joe Zawinul, one of the driving forces behind Miles Davis’s transition to electric guitar, are must-listen features. While the stereo image was previously spread widely to the left and right, remastering has shifted the drums slightly to the center, resulting in a more solid sound, and the intervals between songs have been carefully aligned. Recorded Live at Funkhaus des NDR, Hamburg, Germany, March 19, 1969 EXCELLENT Soundboard Recording // 69 min 1. RUMPELSTILZCHEN 2. EXPERIENCE IN E 3. DOMINATION 4. THE PAINTED DESERT 5.
