Description
This is a studio live recording of the Butterfield Blues Band, led by Poole Butterfield, the greatest white bluesman in history. This is a soundboard sound source with instruments swung left and right and vocals captured in the center. As a Butterfield Blues Band, it is a rather minor period without Mike Bloomfield or Elvin Bishop, but it is a valuable sound source with David Sanborn. Although it seems to be more of a wind instrument with saxophone and trumpet, Ralph Wash is a little-known guitarist, but he shows his presence and does a good job here and there. Is he a guitarist closer to Bloomfield than Bishop? Recorded Live at A&R Studio, New York, NY, December 14, 1970 DISC 1 1. BORN UNDER A BAD SIGN 2. PLAY ON 3. DRIFTIN’ AND DRIFTIN’ DISC 2 1.
