This edition features a full recording of the live performance at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo on January 27th, the second day of their first visit to Japan in three years for the release of “ROLL WITH THE PUNCHES” in 2026. The recording is produced using a multi-stereo IEM matrix, and also includes a DVD with high-quality audience footage of the same day’s performance. First, the stereo IEM sources used by each member on stage, each with a different mix balance, are mixed with a digital audience source in exquisite balance to create a multi-IEM matrix. Brian’s vocals, bass, and guitar are centered, while the drums, lead guitar, and keyboards are perfectly positioned and separated. Moreover, there are almost no click guides, and the hybrid sound that conveys the atmosphere of the Budokan in its entirety reproduces the day’s performance in soundboard quality. Furthermore, the DVD footage, captured by digital cameras, is recorded from a 4K master. The camera, positioned in the front row of the first-floor seating area, perfectly balances the shots of the four members on stage with the elaborately designed screen visuals, making it ideal for reliving the live performance. Moreover, the audio is synchronized with the CD’s multi-IEM matrix source, and the quality, including the sound, is vastly superior to the fragmented footage found on YouTube and other platforms. The second day at Budokan, following the previous day, featured almost the same setlist, but the acoustic version of “House Arrest” made its debut that night as a different song each night. In addition, “Heat Of The Night,” which was not performed on their previous visit to Japan, and four songs from “ROLL WITH THE PUNCHES” were performed in Japan for the first time, showcasing their continued relevance. Moreover, as it was the second night, the band’s groove was even more pronounced, and the playing of their close friend Keith Scott was particularly noteworthy, making this a limited-edition memorial item from their visit to Japan.
