This edition features a full recording of the January 26th concert at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, the first day of their visit to Japan in three years for the release of “ROLL WITH THE PUNCHES” in 2026. The recording is produced using a multi-stereo IEM matrix, and also includes a DVD with high-quality audience footage of the same day’s performance. The stereo IEM sources used by each member on stage, each with a different mix balance, are mixed with a digital audience source in perfect balance to create a multi-IEM matrix. Brian’s vocals, bass, and guitar are centered, while the drums, lead guitar, and keyboards are perfectly positioned and separated. Moreover, there are almost no click guides, and the hybrid sound that conveys the atmosphere of the Budokan in its entirety reproduces the day’s performance in soundboard quality. Furthermore, the DVD footage, shot with a digital camera, was recorded from a 4K master, capturing the entire stage from the front row of the second-floor seats of the venue without any obstructions. Key moments, such as screen projections and the giant punching gloves floating in the air, are clearly captured, and as Brian himself says, the original movie for “This Time” on the screen is a must-see. Moreover, the audio part is synchronized with the CD’s multi-IEM matrix source, and the quality, including the audio, is worlds apart from the fragmented footage on YouTube and other sites. This memorable first performance in Japan ended up being two songs more than the Budokan and Osaka shows the following day, including the cover of “Twist and Shout,” and they also played “Heat Of The Night,” which was not played on their previous visit to Japan, and four songs from “ROLL WITH THE PUNCHES” were performed in Japan for the first time, showcasing their continued relevance.
