Description
JEMS has now become a treasure trove of classic rock rare recordings, and from February to March, three types of recordings from Bruce Springsteen’s 1977 tour have been uploaded. Speaking of the 1977 tour, a performance that even exceeds that Darkness tour is shown every day, and it has received higher praise than Darkness among Springsteen mania. However, unlike Darkness and the 1975 tour, no sound board sound source was discovered this year. Instead, this tour is also an attractive tour that has the advantage of having an audience recording that boasts the best recording condition that even if you listen to it now, you will be surprised. Our shop has also released all of the Boston consecutive performances at the end of the 1977 tour on press discs, and each of “LEGENDS FROM THE MUSIC HALL” and “ARE YOU READY FOR THE FINAL MOMENT?” has excellent sound quality. It has been very popular because it captures Springsteen’s upper-class performance. However, the great thing about the 1977 tour is that the audience recording, which boasts the highest quality, is not limited to just this day. There are some audience recordings of amazing quality that date back about a month from the days of Boston, but the sound image is so powerful that it even surpasses Boston, and it is extremely popular among enthusiasts. It was a beloved sound source. Fortunately, what JEM has uploaded this time is exactly those sound sources. And what will be released this time is the finest sound source recorded from the Milwaukee live performance on February 22nd. Of course, it has been released before because it is an audience recording that boasts such quality, and if you are a maniac, you may remember the title “ACTION IN THE STREETS”. Recently, a fan-made remaster of this title, “THE RETURN TO BOMBSCARE ARENA,” has been circulating on the internet. The remaster by the label “Ev2” has been touted on fan sites as a “dramatically improved sound quality,” but in reality, it has been created by applying tight compression, increasing the volume, and creating a flashier sound quality. It was exclusive to me. However, since this JEM sound source is based on the low generation master, it has achieved a dramatic improvement in sound quality in the truest sense. It has a natural and warm sound quality that is completely different from “THE RETURN TO?”, and it shows off the difference from the superficial sound processing that is common in fan remasters. Moreover, the three performances uploaded by JEMS, including this day, have an extremely powerful sound image that can be called strange, but that is not surprising. These sound sources were recorded by Springsteen’s tour crew with permission. So to speak, it was an “official audience recording”. Unfortunately, “She’s The One” and “Rosalita” contain only a momentary cut of the tape replacement, but even if you deduct that, the exceptional quality is overwhelming. The 1977 tour has gained the support of enthusiasts for its upper-class Springsteen performance that is said to surpass even the Darkness Tour, but if you can listen to it in such quality, it would be better to release it on CD. I guess that’s normal. During this period, Springsteen’s recording activities were suspended due to a lawsuit with his manager, Mike Appel, and as if to express his inconvenience, he performed a cover of the Animals’ “It’s My Life” in a somber atmosphere. I am. From there, the tension gradually builds up, and the long and intense “Backstreets” is an amazing performance! After all, being able to listen to the live performance of 1977 with splendid clarity and sound image is a great blessing for the fans. Finally, the bonus track includes the sound source from Litchfield on February 17th, which was uploaded by JEMS as the third official audience recording. This day is famous for the fact that former Ronettes Ronnie Spector joined and sang in the latter half of the live performance, and it was also included as a bonus in “THE RETURN TO BOMBSCARE ARENA”. According to JEMS, they did not record the entire live performance on that day, and uploaded it as a complete version that was combined with another sound source with poor sound quality. As expected, this time too, the part where Ronnie Spector appears is recorded, but it is natural that the sound quality has improved, and even though it was played immediately after her turn, the song “THE RETURN TO” “Born To Run”, which was cut in the bonus of “?”, is also included, making the bonus song selection even more complete. As a result, it has become the most enjoyable title, consisting only of the finest sound sources from 1977, and the sound quality and performance are impeccable!
