Description

Recorded on a soundboard from the Madison performance on July 14, 1978. (Famous as a sound source, but not packaged until now) You can fully enjoy the spectacular performance of the amazing technical group with superb sound quality with outstanding realism. Since Genesis is on the “And Three Remained” tour, Chuck Burge is playing the drums instead of Phil Collins. The ensemble on this day is the most amazing and perfect in the history of Brand X, and the number of amazing high-speed plays that can only be described as divine will really leave you speechless. Earth Dance starts with Chuck’s intro (the excitement of this start is not half-hearted), Peter and Percy’s improvisation battle in the Latin beat in the second half, Goodsoul’s super-fast 32-beat phrases in the Access To Data break, the goosebump-inducing arpeggios in the intro of The Poke, the 6/8 solo battle in the second half of Black Moon, the ensemble of five people who create the ultimate groove will definitely knock you out. Goodsoul’s amazing playing is in a class of its own on this day, but unfortunately he retired in late July due to tendonitis. The 1978 tour itself started in June, so this rare item, which was only a month after he was a member, is a very welcome and valuable release that fans have been waiting for. (I would also like to listen to Phil Collins and Robin Lumley’s 1976 performance at Hammersmith Odeon…) This is the ultimate item from the top jazz rock brand X, with sound quality, performance content, and rarity that is second to none.
