Description
Booker T and Priscilla Coolidge got married in 1969, and released three albums under their own name starting in 1970. The first and second sets were recorded at The Matrix on April 15, 1971, with the best soundboard with almost no distortion. Since it is not the MGs, Booker T, who is also a very fine vocalist, sings on songs such as “Born Under A Bad Sign”. It also includes an instrumental piece whose title is unknown, perhaps because it was a new song at the time. Priscilla also sang backing vocals on “Everybody Loves A Winner” and “Feel The Spirit”. The band is made up of Chicago-based players, and Peter Mirow of Fat Water’s drums are quite percussive and interesting.
