From the 1986 True Confessions Japan tour, which Bob Dylan performed with Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, the first day of the tour, March 5th at the Nippon Budokan, has been released in a new digitally restored version with high quality audience recording! This was Bob Dylan’s second visit to Japan since 1978, and his collaboration with Tom Petty was so popular that two Budokan performances were held at the time, on the first day and on March 10th. There have been multiple recordings of the second performance on the 10th, but there have been few recordings of this first performance, so collectors should not miss it.
