Bob Dylan/Japan Tour 1994

The 1994 Japan tour consisted of 12 performances across the country, from Sendai on February 5th to Tokyo on the 20th. A complete recording of the three performances, Nagoya on the 11th and Urawa on the 18th, directly from the original DAT master. First of all, at Budokan, the performance was a little rough at the beginning, but Dylan’s tension started to rise around “Positively 4th Street”, and “Series Of Dreams”, which was the first performance in this Japan performance, was an especially amazing play. The Nagoya performance was held in an unusually lively atmosphere during the tour, with the audience on their feet from the opening, and the selection of songs that could be called “Oh Mercy” night was attractive, especially “Disease Of Conceit”. The performance is wonderful. Furthermore, since the Urawa performance was at the end of the tour, there was intense tension from the opening, and the shouts during regular numbers such as “Tangled Up In Blue” and “Tomorrow Night” gave goosebumps. Also, the hard performance of “Everything Is Broken”, which appeared for the first time in Japan on this day, was a masterpiece that became a legend at the time.
