Description
December 4, 1988, Bob Dylan’s only Bridge School Benefit stage so far is recorded in an official stereo sound board recording. Bob’s stage has been recorded from videos with poor quality that have been circulating, but everyone will be surprised by the ultra-clear sound quality that is incomparable to that. (There is only a slight cut in the intro of “Gates Of Eden”) Although the stage was short, his setlist here was also very valuable, especially the opening song “San Francisco Bay Blues”. will be available only at this time, and its unique selection of songs is sure to be enjoyed even by non-fans. “Forever Young”, which was played last, was an incredibly hot and exciting performance even though it was acoustic, and the stage alone with G.E. Smith, who was the guitarist of Hall & Oates’ band, was short but worth listening to. As a bonus, we also include the stage of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, who also appeared at this event, but this is also a clear stereo line recording, so you can be sure to enjoy it without any discomfort. Girl From The North Country from this performance was included in the official 3-disc DVD “Bridge School Benefit Concerts 25th Anniversary Edition” released in 2011, but all 6 songs performed that day have been available for some time. Currently, only this version can be listened to with a high-quality stereo line recording that is different from the leaked full-length video. Please also enjoy this day’s live performance by Bob’s ally Tom Petty. Live at Oakland Coliseum, Oakland, CA, USA 4th December 1988 STEREO SBD Bridge School Benefit 2 Bob Dylan with G.E. Smith 1.
