Black Sabbath Pro-Shot Collection 1978

This collection of pro-shot footage includes rare live footage from the turbulent period when Dave Walker joined the band for about three months after Ozzy left in 1977 and returned early the following year in 1978. They first entered the studio in September 1977 to record “Never Say Die,” but Ozzy suddenly left shortly before that. Tony Iommi then asked his old friend Dave Walker, who had been with Savoy Brown, to join, and Ozzy returned the following January 1978. This compilation includes footage of the only TV appearance with Dave fronting the band during this turbulent time, as well as a selection of TV programs from that year after Ozzy’s return. The highlight, of course, is the live performance featuring Dave. While it’s only about seven and a half minutes, it’s available on a recently unearthed best-of master disc, and is available in color for the first time in Japan. Additionally, the DVD also includes the highest quality performances from Ozzy Osbourne’s two appearances on the legendary “TOP OF THE POPS” program in May and June of that year, following his return. The live performance from London’s Hammersmith on June 19th, also known from the official video “NEVER SAY DIE,” has also been released on DVD from the hard-to-find official best master, and includes the rare track “A Hard Road.” This is the ultimate video compilation, covering all the pro shots remaining from 1978, making it a must-see for fans, totaling 77 minutes.
