Description
In 1986, following the departure of Glenn Hughes from the US tour accompanying “Seventh Star”, Ray Gillan suddenly joined the tour and recorded his 8th performance at the Philadelphia Spectrum on April 12th in high quality audience recording for 85 minutes, a must-listen for fans. The high frequency hiss caused by the master is neatly removed so that it does not affect the original sound. You can enjoy the show stress-free with high quality sound that is much easier to listen to than the same sound source circulating among traders. The sound quality is very clear and has an excellent direct feeling. The separation of the instruments is also very excellent, so you can hear each sound of the bass. The stage performance of the new member Ray was wonderful, and Tony Iommi must have been happy that he had made the right choice throughout the US tour. He sings numbers such as War Pigs, Black Sabbath, and Heaven And Hell beautifully while showing his own color, and you can fully enjoy Ray’s deep charm and rich singing voice derived from his rare talent. Tony Iommi’s solo playing is also murderous, and the rhythm section of Eric Singer and Dave Spitz is also very powerful, and you can once again feel how musically excellent this 1986 unit is. The powerful Danger Zone and the bluesy masterpiece Heart Like A Wheel. The medley performance of Symptom Of The Universe ~ Sweet Leaf ~ Zero The Hero ~ Sphinx ~ Seventh Star (only this is played in full) in the first half of this tour only, and Turn To Stone played with a drum solo in between are all worth listening to. Ray plays a vocal ad-lib solo called “Can You Feel The Power ~” in the intro of Neon Knights. This is a highly recommended piece that you can enjoy with plenty of stable sound until the very end.
