Description
“Into the Void” was a classic that later rose to become a signature song, but was extremely rare in the ’70s. This treasured live set completes this valuable collection. This release features two legendary audience recordings from the March 2, 1971 Chapel Hill performance and the March 9, 1971 Paramus performance. “Into the Void” was a staple of Black Sabbath live shows and was frequently performed at Ozzy Osbourne’s solo shows. However, that was after the band’s reunion. It was an extremely rare song, recorded only a few times in the ’70s. This release is an essential addition to any collection of such rare songs. So, when was the classic “Into the Void” performed? And what records remain? Let’s start by exploring the basics of the time. 1970 “BLACK SABBATH Tour” January 3rd – September 5th: Europe #1 (113 shows) ←※MONTREUX 1970 etc. “PARANOID Tour” September 11th – October 26th: Europe #2 (24 shows) ←※BRUSSELS 1970 October 30th – November 27th: North America #1 (40 shows) ←※PORTLAND 1970 December 5th – 20th: Europe #3 (7 shows) ←※COPENHAGEN 1970 1971 January 7th – 23rd: Europe #4 (11 shows) ←※SHEFFIELD 1971 etc. January 31st: MYPONGA OPEN AIR appearances: February 6th + 7th: Netherlands (2 shows) * February 17th – April 4th: North America #2 (41 shows) ←★here★ April 15th – 26th: Europe #5 (10 shows) ←※ ETERNAL VOID OF DOOM “MASTER OF REALITY Tour” July 2nd – August 17th: North America #3 (30 shows) ←※ BEGGARS’ BANQUET DANCE September 4th – 7th: Europe #6 (3 shows) September 18th – October 23rd: North America #4 (27 shows) ←※ MASTER OF WINTERLAND and others December 3rd – 6th: Europe #7 (3 shows) This is BLACK SABBATH from 1970/1971. The two shows in this work were the 13th and 19th shows of “North America #2”. Including these two shows, “Into The Void” has only been confirmed five times. Our shop offers all of these live albums, so let’s take a look at the lineup. The days you can listen to “Into the Void” are: January 14th (Europe #4) “DEFINITIVE SHEFFIELD 1971”; January 18th (Europe #4) “NEWCASTLE 1971”; March 2nd (North America #2) Chapel Hill performance (this disc 1); March 9th (North America #2) Paramus performance (this disc 2); April 18th (Europe #5) “ETERNAL VOID OF DOOM (Copenhagen)”… and so on. While the “PARANOID Tour” boasts masterpieces like “DEFINITIVE SHEFFIELD 1971” and “ETERNAL VOID OF DOOM,” the remaining three shows are also included in the lineup. This set includes two of the “North America #2” shows. Both shows are the best masters. While they don’t quite reach the level of the classics, both are incredibly fresh and vibrant. The Chapel Hill performance (Disc 1) in particular has a breathtaking clarity, and the sense of distance and naturalness is very similar to “Newcastle 1971 (Shades 1235).” Even without the rare song collection, this is a masterpiece that allows you to experience the “PARANOID Tour” with realistic sound. Only five performances of the classic “Into the Void” remain from the 1970s. This album not only completes this precious collection, but also offers a superbly realistic experience of the “PARANOID Tour,” where one classic after another was born. This is a cultural heritage album that offers a truly authentic experience of the legendary audience recordings from the “Chapel Hill Performance on March 2, 1971” and the “Paramus Performance on March 9, 1971,” the scene of the surge of British rock music. This two-disc set includes two extremely rare “Into the Void” recordings, only five of which remain from the 1970s, and both have excellent best-of sound. Even if you ignore the rare song collection, it is a cultural heritage site where you can experience the “PARANOID Tour” with real sound.
