Description

From the European tour accompanying “Cross Purposes” in 1994, Germany recorded a complete high-quality audience recording of Offenbach’s performance on May 4th. During this period, Tony Martin returned as vocalist due to the departure of Ronnie Dio. In addition to Iommi and Butler, former Rainbow member Bobby Rondinelli joined the band as Vinnie Appice took part in the reorganization of Dio on drums, and after the release of the album “Cross Purposes”, they went on a large-scale promotional tour in America and Europe. The opening song is “Dehumanizer” Time Machine. In addition to the Sabbath classics performed on the “Headless Cross” and “Tyr” tours, the set includes representative songs from the 70s such as Into The Void, The Wizard, Symptom Of The Universe, and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. Like the new songs I Witness, Psychophobia, and Cross Of Thorns, each one is a great listen. In the second half of the show, you can enjoy the original flow unique to this period, where Bobby’s drum solo is followed by Headless Cross. Heaven And Hell doesn’t have a main story, it just appears in the ending of Paranoid. A medley of Iron Man and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is also an unusual arrangement for the encore. Currently, this is the only take in which Geezer plays the bass in When Death Calls, so it is valuable. Bobby’s cozy-type hard drum sound and play naturally fit in with Sabbath, and the original and powerful pounding on Symptom Of The Universe is a must-listen. In the 1994 tour, where there are few good audience recording titles, it is the definitive version that boasts one of the best quality.
