Description

This work contains two types of five songs of “moving BB&A”. “May 1973 Santa Monica performance” and “September 15, 1973 London performance”. Although the live album is still hopeless in the video, this is a piece that archives the best of the famous “This is it!” video as much as possible. Now, let’s introduce each video. [May 1973 Santa Monica performance] Two studio live songs from the TV appearance, “Superstition” and “Morning Dew”. Although it is a black and white video that has been known to enthusiasts for a long time, this work contains three types (a total of five songs). First of all, it is an excellent stereo version. This is amazing. Naturally, the sound was mono only for the TV broadcast at that time, but this live was also broadcast on FM radio. The other broadcast was stereo, and an overseas enthusiast synchronized the two. As has been known until now, the video has some distortion, but the clarity is the best ever. Moreover, the sound is a clear and superb stereo sound board, and the legendary video is revived with the “best master and best stereo sound”, making it the highest quality version ever. Next comes the original broadcast version. The image quality is poor and the sound is mono, but this is exactly how it was at the time. Two types of masters are recorded, and unfortunately the “Better Sound” version only has one song, “Superstition”. [London performance on September 15, 1973] The second is a color video of the London performance. This was originally shot on 8mm silent film. Another overseas enthusiast has overlaid another sound. However, this was difficult to distinguish the fragmented video, so it was not synchronized, and the finish was “probably this song” and “I can somehow understand the atmosphere”. However, the worth of the performance exceeds even the Santa Monica performance. It is amazing to have “moving BB&A”, but the situation is abnormal. The “Crystal Palace Bowl”, where the event took place, is a campsite-like square, and there is a large pond in front of the stage. You can watch the concert while bathing in the pond. Moreover, at that time it was a semi-jungle with overgrown weeds. Young people in swimsuits lazily swim in and out. It’s like the scene in Tezuka Osamu’s “Buddha” where the Buddha preaches to a crocodile. What’s more, thundering through the air is the fierce battle of BB&A, a shining example of rock history, and the performance of the three is extremely sharp. It’s a truly surreal scene. A rare “moving BB&A”. Because it’s so rare, the enthusiasts couldn’t help but pour their passion into making it the best it can be. This is a DVD filled with such masterpiece footage.
