This release features the complete soundboard recording of the June 25th Essen, Germany concert, from the 1966 Germany tour, which took place just before the now-legendary Japan concert. While the 1966 Germany concert is best known for its TV broadcast of the Munich concert the day before, it remains in an edited and incomplete form. Until now, only two performances in Japan have recorded the 1966 concert in its entirety on soundboard. This newly discovered Essen concert, featuring a complete soundboard recording, is finally here! Previously only available as a poor-quality audience recording, the Essen performance has been completely recorded on soundboard audio, from the opening “Rock ‘n’ Roll Music” to the closing “I’m Down,” just like the Japanese performance. This is a remarkable new live recording reference, completely unearthed for the first time. The Essen performance is recorded in two versions: “The Rough Version” (originally recorded as is) and “The Remixed Version” (restored with the latest restoration).
