Description
Another great title has been released! I’m sure there are many long-time fans who get excited when they see the title. This masterpiece from the analog era, with the title of Abbey Road Studios’ address, has been significantly upgraded. “No. 3 Abbey Road N.W. 8” was a hot topic at the time of its release due to the leaked Abbey Road outtakes, and is said to have been a bestseller. Since then, many similar albums with the same title have been released, and in the CD era. However, there are probably many people who are in a similar situation and already own one of the titles. This work is the first master recording that surpasses them in content and sound quality. It’s been over 40 years since Abbey Road was released, and I’m filled with emotion that we’ve finally reached this point. The original tapes are said to have been purchased by a man named Joe Pope from a British reporter in the late 1970s in collaboration with several collectors, and the Decca Audition Tape was one of them. This time, it will be recorded in master quality for the first time from that Joe Pope tape. First of all, Disc 1 contains the sound source that first appeared in analog boot NO.3 ABBEY ROAD, not an analog drop, but the highest sound quality ever from the low generation master discovered in 2011. First of all, the first half is a rehearsal sound source by Paul and Donovan recorded during Mary Hopkin’s “Postcard” session in November 1968. The recording gives the impression that the two enjoyed playing together while Mary Hopkin was away, and you can see them enjoying the session with the acoustic guitar, including the Beatles’ “Blackbird.” As expected from the low generation, you can immediately hear that the sound quality is much better than the best Vigotone in the past, and that alone is surprising. The second half includes a pre-mix from the 1969 Abbey Road session. You will be surprised at the dramatic improvement in sound quality, which brings an end to the same content recording that has continued since the analog era. Also, due to the correction, there is no twisting of the “Golden Slumbers” tape. Another feature of this sound source is that “You Never Give Me Your Money” and “Something” have long ad-lib performances. It brings back the bittersweet memories of my youth when I heard it on a research material tape from a certain club (lol). Anyway, this improvement in sound quality can be said to be completely different from the conventional one. At the end of Disc 1, “WATCHING RAINBOWS”, which is nostalgic for the analog generation, is included. Contains Watching Rainbows, which was recorded during rehearsals for the Get Back Sessions and is said to have been broadcast on French RTL radio from February to March 1969. It is covered with French narration. Disc 2 contains rare sound sources of ABBEY ROAD SESSION. The demo of the three songs George recorded on his birthday is a separate mix from the anthology. The Ballad of John and Yoko includes recently released acetate recordings, as well as a censored mix created in Australia. It’s strange that the “Christ” part has been replaced with a mysterious drum sound. The same censored version also includes a version that has been muted with a beep sound. In addition to speed-corrected vocal recordings, Oh! Darling also reproduces the song by dubbing the vocals into the official take. The medley in the second half of Abbey Road includes two types: one in which “Her Majesty” is incorporated into the medley, and one in which it is cut. When you listen to this, the flow is definitely cut off by “Her Majesty,” so cutting it would have been the right thing to do. The definitive edition of the masterpiece “NO.3 ABBEY ROAD N.W.8″, with the ultimate low-generating source, greatly improved sound quality, nostalgic recordings for the analog generation, and rare tracks released for the first time on CD. This book is a must-have for everyone from enthusiasts to beginners, as it provides an overview of the production process of “Road”.
