Description
Recorded live at Candlestick Park in San Francisco on August 29, 1966. Excluding the so-called “Rooftop Concert” in 1969, this performance is so famous among fans that it was essentially the last concert of The Beatles, and many items have been released in the past, but this version is by KRW_CO, who is still famous as an uploader of high-quality sound sources. The sound source itself is a mono audience recording (this title seems to be pseudo-stereo) that was recorded by Tony Barlow, who was the Beatles’ public relations officer, at the instruction of Paul McCartney, just like the ones released in the past. The pitch of this sound source has been corrected based on that, and the parts where the tape is twisted (faint) have been appropriately treated on track 5 “BABY’S IN BLACK” to make it easier to hear. The last track 11 “Long Tall Sally” is also recorded for just under 40 seconds, as it has already been released, but in recent titles released, the official take was connected to it, but this time the sound ends with a cutout. As mentioned above, this recording was probably originally mono, but during distribution it was processed to create a pseudo-stereo-like spread. Previously released titles include some that are noisy but almost mono, and others that are overly spread out. Each title has a slightly different processing, so it might be fun to compare the differences. Live at Candlestick Park, San Francisco, California, USA 29th August 1966 01. Rock And Roll Music 02.
