The second installment of the Bakuon series, With The Beatles, includes four versions. The clean and loud UK Blue Box Stereo, which is highly regarded, the Flashy remix that uses it to feel the speed of the Beatles’ early live performance, and the West German stereo LP and the West German cassette mix that is clearly using a different master. As a bonus, the Royal Variety Performance is a highly recommended title that also includes high-quality MONO and STEREO recordings. Due to the significant evolution of remix technology in recent years, there has been a boom in remixes of Beatles sound sources using that technology. And since around last year, various wonderful remix titles have begun to be released. In this context, we decided to release this Bakuon series by the GWW Laboratory, and at the GWW Laboratory, we compiled the sound sources so that everyone from young fans to deep fans can enjoy them, with the following orientation: First, we focus on the original sound source before the remix, and then we clarify the task setting and remix it brilliantly (= Flashy Remix). The second installment of the series is With The Beatles. The original sound source that we were particular about was recorded in a British blue box. This LP uses the original UK stamper, the vinyl is of high quality, and the midrange is very full, and it is highly regarded along with the MFSL version. Furthermore, using this source, we carried out a Flash remix aiming to reproduce the live feeling of the early youthful Beatles in a fresh hall. Be amazed by the sense of speed in It Won’t Be Long and All My Loving, and the power of Money. This time, the West German version of With The Beatles has been digitized along with the LP and cassette. As many of you may know, the reason why the West German version is important is that the stereo master tape was prepared for West Germany before the UK. And the West German version includes All My Loving with hi-hat. It is also said that the freshness and loudness of the original UK version are superior. In addition, this time we also include the first cassette version released in 1978. This also uses the West German stereo master from that time, but the sound source is rearranged in the order of the songs for the cassette and the left and right channels are inverted. Thanks to this, it sounds like a different mix. Isn’t it nice to be able to listen to this slightly perverted West German sound source on tape? As a bonus, the Royal Variety Performance is recorded in mono and stereo. The mono source is the master sound source released by the foundation several years ago. The stereo source is not that source, but rather the longest version compiled by combining multiple best sources through repeated research, and then stereoized with Flashy remix.
