From their first visit to Japan, which took place from January 7th to 23rd, 1966, to their performance at Shibuya Public Hall in Tokyo on January 1st. They performed a parade of classics such as “Fun Fun Fun,” “California Girls,” and “I Get Around,” as well as songs from their latest album at the time, “Today,” such as “Help Me Rhonda,” and a cover of Chuck Berry’s “Johnny B Goode.” A radio broadcast source recording of their enthusiastic visit to Japan, which took place before the Beatles.
