Description
BANANARAMA released their first new album in 10 years, “IN STEREO,” and the memories of their performance in Japan in August are still fresh. Their latest professional shots are now available. This film was filmed on September 15, 2019 in London. This is a multi-camera pro shot taken when he appeared at the prestigious BBC sponsored festival “BBC RADIO 2 LIVE IN HYDE PARK”. Last year, Siobhan Fahey also returned and the three-person tour attracted attention, but now Karen Woodward and Sarah Dallin have returned to the band and released “IN STEREO.” He is active in live activities including in Japan. First of all, let’s take a look back at the current schedule and check the show’s position in order to know the latest status of these girls.・January 26th + 27th: North America (2 performances) ・February 15th-28th: Singapore/Australia (8 performances) [“IN STEREO” released on April 19th] ・April 26th – August 9th : UK #1 (14 performances) ・August 15th-18th: Japan (3 performances) ・August 22nd: Switzerland performance ・August 25th + September 15th: UK #2 (2 performances) ←★Here ★ This is BANANARAMA in 2019. Although the number of performances is not too crowded, the tour is conducted on a worldwide scale, including North America and Australia. Immediately after Japan, they will perform in Switzerland, and then finish this year’s activities with two performances in their home country of England. The Hyde Park performance of this work was also the last concert in August, when Japan also visited. This work, which records such a show, is truly a superb multi-camera professional shot. In recent years, professional shot distribution has been actively carried out at festivals around the world, but this work is a festival sponsored by the prestigious British tradition. The quality is so great that it seems like the prestige is at stake, and it’s not just the picture and sound quality, the perfectly controlled mix is extremely beautiful, and the rapidly moving camera work is full of dynamism and aesthetic sense. For example, if you take a shot of a large outdoor crowd, you might want to convey the mood of the scene by contrasting it with a group of nearby buildings, but you can also use a fisheye lens to create a three-dimensional effect, or create a panoramic view from just one audience member. Zoom out to create a sense of scale… Of course, BANANARAMA is more active. In addition to photographing each person individually from all directions, he also intentionally overlapped the silhouettes of the large audience on his back and the sunlight at the edges of the stage set to create beams of light. Anyway, it’s beautiful and each cool cut moves along with the Eurobeat rhythm. This week, professional shots of Sheryl Crow and THE BANGLES from the American festival “KAABOO” will be appearing at the same time, but when it comes to the aesthetic sense and sense of camera work, the British BBC wins hands down. The show, depicted in such beautiful professional shots, is a collaboration of 80’s hit songs and new songs. Let’s organize the contents here. ●BANANARAMA (2 songs)・Cruel Summer, Robert De Niro’s Waiting●WOW! (2 songs)・I Heard A Rumour, Love In The First Degree ●IN STEREO (2 songs)・Stuff Like That, Looking For Someone●Others ( 2 songs)・Really Saying Something (DEEP SEA SKIVING), Venus (TRUE CONFESSIONS)…and so on. There are only a few songs because it lasts about 30 minutes, but the content is very special. They carefully select one or two representative songs from their first four albums from the 1980s, and interweave them with new songs from IN STEREO. The new songs “Stuff Like That” and “Looking For Someone” are also wonderful, and both are full of BANANARAMA characteristics that would not be out of place even if they were released in the 80’s. Even more than that, it’s the hit songs from yesteryear that draw a huge crowd. This is it! Rush, which is a concentrated version of the song, draws in the huge Hyde Park, and with each song, the sea of applause gets wider and more dynamically bouncing around. Because it is a bright stage during the day, you can clearly see the excitement of such a show. Last year’s reunion was great, but if Karen and Sarah get together, it’s BANANARAMA. A full show that will bring Hyde Park to life with its vibrant and concentrated hit songs as well as fresh and valuable new songs. Although it is only 32 minutes long, it is a masterpiece that allows you to enjoy the shining stage with completely official multi-camera professional shots.
