Description

Another superb audience recording has been unearthed from the Dan Lampinski sound source that continues to amaze all hard rock fans! This work is from the 1975 tour that BLUE OYSTER CULT conducted after the release of their masterpiece album “SECRET TREATIES”, and the performance in Providence, Rhode Island on February 25th is recorded with outstanding sound quality that makes it hard to believe that it was recorded 44 years ago. It is recorded for minutes. The greatness of Dan Lampinski’s sound source has been proven many times, such as in the recently released “SPECTRES PROVIDENCE”, and it transcends time to the point that it makes you think that it was recorded in a time machine. There are things. This work not only has a clear outlook, but also has a natural stereo sound spread and a perfect sense of separation between each part, giving you an overwhelming sense of direct presence and the feeling that the performance is unfolding right in front of your eyes. It’s so powerful that it’s almost like a movie being shown on a big screen in a theater, and everyone who listens to it will be stunned! “Harvester Of Eyes” and “Flaming Telepaths” in the first half of the live show have some noise and deterioration due to microphone trouble and the storage condition of the master, but overall they are of exceptional quality, and the stereo sound board of the same period We have achieved an unbelievable level of ultra-high sound quality and highest quality audience recording that will make you run away barefoot! This Providence performance is the 7th performance of a show in which 8 performances were held as a guest of The Faces from February 11th to February 26th, and since it is an undercard appearance, this is probably all the songs on the day. B.O.C.’s “SECRET TREATIES” released in 1974 was highly acclaimed, and with that momentum they developed an energetic live performance. In particular, 1975 was a very important period in the history of B.O.C., with live dates scheduled until December 31st, and the band’s days of touring across Europe and America dramatically improved the band’s status and popularity. It was the year. The fullness of the band is reflected directly in the performance, and you can enjoy the finest play that shows off the momentum of B.O.C., which continues to rise from the opening “Stairway To The Stars”. In the first half of the live show, three songs from the new album “SECRET TREATIES” were picked up in quick succession, showing the band’s confidence. “Harvester Of Eyes” has a heavy song that speeds up in the second half, “Flaming Telepaths” has an exquisite melancholy melody and chorus, and “Flaming Telepaths” where the band’s performance perfectly reproduces the magnificent world view. “Astronomy” and every song played packs a powerful punch, and the listener will be overwhelmed. B.O.C.’s songs and performances gradually became more sophisticated around their next album, “AGENTS OF FORTUNE,” but here they still have the same roughness and heaviness that they had just after their debut, and “Hot Rails To Hell.” and “Cities On Flame,” you can experience the power of that early B.O.C. The eccentric personality of the band contained in the songs and performances that can be heard here is probably the “chilled madness of New York” that made fans groan at the time. (Although there is a cut that appears to be a tape change immediately after the end of “Hot Rails To Hell,” it has no effect on listening to the following “Cities On Flame.”) After the performance of “Cities On Flame”, Eric Bloom’s The MC says, “A new double live album will be released this week,” promoting the band’s first live album, “ON YOUR FEET OR ON YOUR KNEES.” “Buck’s Boogie” is played without hesitation, saying, “This is the song that will be included.” It demonstrates the excellent playability that is only possible because all members of B.O.C. are highly capable of playing instruments. The last song, “Me 262,” includes “5 Guitars,” in which all five members of the band play guitar, and is a listening point only available at this time. The show ends with a thrilling sound reminiscent of DEEP PURPLE’s “Space Truckin’,” including a long arrangement lasting over 10 minutes that flows from a light song and excellent interplay between the members, receiving a huge ovation from the fans. The ’75 tour was a turning point for the band, and it is clearly conveyed in the main sound source that it continued to captivate the audience with its fierce power from the beginning. “ON YOUR FEET OR ON YOUR KNEES”, which was released immediately after this live show, was of course excellent, but the “live live sound source” that drips with the flavor of this work is better than the processed official live performance. There is a wonderfulness of being “raw” that cannot be tasted! Unfortunately, the sound was cut out on one channel due to microphone trouble in the aforementioned “Harvester Of Eyes”, “Flaming Telepaths”, and the last “Me262”, but each part was carefully corrected one by one. (Dan Lampinski’s equipment on that day seemed to be out of order, and similar problems can be seen in the FACES sound source from the same day.) However, this miraculous ultra-high sound quality is definitely a must-listen for fans, and this is This is an excellent item that I would recommend to all BOC fans.
