Description
The long-awaited DVD for Al DiMeola fans is finally here! This is a professional shot live video of the so-called “Tour De Force” band, including Steve Gadd (drums), Anthony Jackson (bass), Jan Hammer (keyboards), Mingo Lewis (percussion), and Victor Godsey (keyboards)! From joining RTF to going solo, this is a live session with literal “masters” such as Gadd, Anthony, and Jan Hammer, who continued to support DiMeola’s first golden age in the mid-’70s through studio recording. The dream collaboration between these extremely busy musicians, which was held for a limited time in the early spring of 1982, is recorded over 30 minutes, with a total of 5 songs including “Electric Rendezvous”, which was not included in the official CD “Tour De Force-“Live””. It is recorded. Although the image quality is not as high as master quality, it is very high quality with no screen flickering or disturbances, and the audio has also been dramatically improved by digital remastering. Furthermore, in the second half of the main story, an acoustic live performance by John McLaughlin, Al Di Meola, and Paco De Lucia, which was held in the Netherlands on September 11, 1981, is additionally recorded in professional shots. There are some parts where there is some noise in the master audio, but it is one of the few video items from the 1980s of the “Super Guitar Trio”, and it is also a high-quality professional shot recording, so I think you can enjoy it to the fullest. The recording time is 80 minutes in professional format with menu chapters.
