Description

The Upper Darby, Pennsylvania performance on March 26, 1978 is recorded as an ultra-high quality stereo soundboard recording from the local radio broadcast take. There are excellent radio broadcast sound sources from Chicago, Boston, etc. before and after this performance, but in terms of sound quality, this live performance in Philadelphia is the best. The 50 minutes from the familiar Jaws Intro (which also covers the pentatonic scale of “Close Encounters of the Third Kind”) to Get The Lead Out are copied from the station’s 10-inch reel master, and as the name suggests, this is the best. Recorded in high quality sound. The following 29 minutes from Get It Up to Train Kept A Rollin’ is recorded from the air check tape that was broadcast, but the sound quality here is also excellent enough. In terms of content, the entire series is excellent enough to be released as an official bootleg, so fans of all levels can enjoy it. And above all, unlike the Santa Monica performance version “ALIVE OUT THERE TONIGHT”, which includes the concert portion, this is a full recording of the concert, so you can enjoy it in high quality in the exact order of the songs from the actual live performance.
